Reorder Pages
Rearrange pages by drag and drop.
This tool runs in your browser. Your document is not uploaded. What happens to your files
Shift-click a range · ⌘A all · Esc none · I invert · R rotate · ⌘Z undo · or type a range to skip the grid entirely
How it works
- Choose one PDF.
- Drag pages into the new sequence.
- Apply the order and download the new copy.
Key benefit
The page contents are copied without rendering or quality loss.
Supported files and key limits
Input: PDF. Output: PDF.
Printed page numbers and internal cross-references do not update automatically.
What reordering changes
Reordering changes the sequence in which pages are referenced. It does not redraw or recompress them, so text, images, annotations, and form fields stay with their pages. Each page keeps its own rotation too: a page at 180° is still at 180° when you move it.
PDFOak edits the page order in place instead of copying pages into a new document. That is why bookmarks and form fields stay attached.
Fronts first, then backs: 1, 3, 5 … 2, 4, 6
If you scanned the fronts and then the backs, the pages arrive as every odd page followed by every even page. Weave halves splits the list down the middle and interleaves the two halves, so 1, 3, 5 … 2, 4, 6 becomes 1, 2, 3, 4.
Which button you need depends on how you fed the stack back in. If you put it back the same way up, use Weave halves. If you flipped the whole pile over in one motion, the backs come out in reverse, so use Weave halves, back half reversed. The thumbnails show the result straight away, so you can see which one was right.
If you pick the wrong one, press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows) and try the other. Weaving a second time does not undo the first weave. With an odd page count, the extra sheet goes in the first half.
Everyday fixes
Most of the time the job is smaller: a signature page that ended up at the front, an exhibit that belongs after the motion, a cover sheet scanned last. Drag the page where it belongs, check the readback, and save.
Dragging works on documents up to 200 pages. Above that, dragging is turned off so the page grid can stay within your browser’s memory.
