Delete Pages
Remove pages without touching the rest.
This tool runs in your browser. Your document is not uploaded. What happens to your files
Shift-click a range · ⌘A all · Esc none · I invert · ⌘Z undo · or type a range to skip the grid entirely
How it works
- Choose one PDF.
- Select the pages to remove and confirm the deletion.
- Download and inspect the remaining document.
Key benefit
Only selected pages are removed; the source file on your device is unchanged.
Supported files and key limits
Input: PDF. Output: PDF.
The removed pages’ images can stay inside the file, so it may not get smaller. Use Extract Pages to keep only what you want. Deleting is not redaction.
What deleting does to file size
File-size savings depend on what the removed pages contain, and often there are none. PDFOak takes the pages out of the document, but the file can still hold the images those pages used, so deleting pages does not reliably make it smaller.
If you need a smaller file, or you need the removed pages gone from the file itself, use Extract Pages and select the pages you want to keep. It builds a new file from those pages alone. To reach a specific size, use Compress PDF.
Your original stays as it was
PDFOak reads your file and gives you a new copy. The file on your disk is not opened for writing. The removed pages no longer appear in the download, so keep the original until you have checked the result.
Deleting pages breaks a digital signature
A digital signature covers the document as it was signed. Removing a page changes it, so any viewer that checks signatures will report the file as modified after signing, and some filing systems may reject it. If you need part of a signed document, extract the pages you need and treat the result as an unsigned excerpt, or ask the signer for a new signed copy.
Delete, Extract or Split?
Use Delete when you want most of the document. Use Extract when you only need a few pages. Use Split when you want every page, in separate files. Delete keeps bookmarks and form fields, which Extract cannot.
Choosing pages on a long document
Type a range the way you would write it on a cover sheet. The entry 1-5, 8, 12- means pages one to five, page eight, and page twelve to the end. last picks the final page and -3 picks the first three. Whatever you click is shown back in the same form.
