How to Split a PDF Into Separate Pages

Use Extract Pages when every page needs its own file. Use Split PDF when you want several multi-page sections.
Both copy pages without redrawing them, so page quality does not change.
Do it in five steps
- Decide whether you need one file per page or a few larger parts.
- Choose the source PDF.
- For single pages, select every page in Extract Pages and choose one PDF per page. For sections, place cuts in Split PDF.
- Create the files and download the zip.
- Open one file from the start, the middle and the end.
Which tool answers which question
Extract answers “which pages do I want?” It can make one combined excerpt or one PDF per selected page. Split answers “where should the document break?” It keeps every page and starts a new file at each cut.
Name the output so the order survives
Filenames carry the page number, padded with zeros so page 02 sorts before page 10. If the pages contain private material, confirm the recipient needs each one before you send the whole zip.
Frequently asked questions
Does splitting lower quality?
No. Pages are copied without being redrawn.
