Why PDFOak
The tools are free, and most of them never upload your document.
Free means free
Every tool is available without an account, watermark, daily limit, or paid upgrade.
Most tools stay on your device
Browser tools never send your document to a server. The tools that need one tell you first and explain how the file is handled.
No upload, no waiting
Browser tools skip the upload and the download, which is usually where the waiting happens.
Nothing to install
There is no app or extension. The tools work in a modern browser on a laptop or a phone.
How it works
Three steps, and on most tools none of them involve a server.
- 1Choose your fileDrag a PDF onto the drop zone or pick one from your device. On a browser tool, choosing a file does not upload it.
- 2Set your optionsSet the options that tool needs, such as a size target, a page order, or an output format.
- 3Download the resultFor browser tools the download comes straight from your own browser, so there is no server copy to delete.

You can test the privacy claims
Each claim here can be checked from your own machine in a minute or two. The privacy page has the full breakdown.
01
Watch the Network tab
Run any browser tool with developer tools open. You may see a small same-origin performance request, but none that carries your document.
02
Read the security header
The policy below only lets pages connect back to pdfoak.com, so a browser tool cannot post your document to another site.
03
Server tools show their policy first
A tool that uploads fetches its retention statement before anything else. Until it arrives, the file picker stays hidden.
